All activities are perfect for all levels. No prior knowledge or experience is required to enjoy the day! Please feel free to attend solo; there will be many opportunities to meet, connect, and build new friendships during the day.
The workshops and what we’ll cover:
Each workshop includes a balance of discussion, teaching and activities. You’ll get heaps of opportunity to move around and simulate what we are discussing, including activities, movement, relaxing meditations and mindful breathing exercises. There is no expectation to contribute or share your own thoughts, feelings however group discussion is encouraged but not mandatory to your fulfilment and enjoyment of the day :-)
Mindfulness:
What is mindfulness, and what is meditation - how do we practise these, and what are the benefits to our lives? A discussion about how mindfulness impacts and improves overall performance, plus how to use it in the Sauna as an example of what happens in your mind when your body is under stress.
Emotional Regulation/Breathing:
How to breathe correctly, and how breathing can be used to regulate your feelings and emotions. Some quick practices you can do at home to instantly shift your mood and improve your well-being.
Self-awareness:
What is self-awareness really about, and why is it so difficult? How can we become more aware of our thoughts and the stories we hold to be true that trigger counter-productive thoughts and behaviours? This will include a fun movement session and a practise to build self-awareness.
